OSCE Center in Ashgabat organizes a discussion on the future of hydrogen energy

The OSCE Center in Ashgabat organized an online round table to discuss the pilot project of the Roadmap for the development of «green» hydrogen energy in Turkmenistan, Orient News Agency reports.
The meeting was attended by representatives of the ministries and departments of Turkmenistan, members of the interdepartmental working group for the development of hydrogen energy in the country, employees of the State Energy Institute of Turkmenistan, representatives of the State Concerns «Turkmengas», «Turkmennebit», and «Turkmenchemistry», as well as universities of the country.
Two international experts from Belarus discussed the production of hydrogen using renewable energy sources and natural gas as part of the development of the Roadmap. The topics of the event were also issues of legislative support for the development of «green» hydrogen production, intensification of international cooperation in the development of environmentally friendly energy and entry into foreign markets.
Based on the results of the round table discussions, the first draft of the Roadmap will be developed, and after all the necessary consultations, its final version will be prepared.
The Islamic Development Bank will finance a number of projects in Turkmenistan
At the 356th meeting of the Board of Executive Directors of the Islamic Development Bank (IDB), the allocation of US$368.98 million was approved to finance new development projects in member countries.
