Specialists of the Koytendag exploration expedition of the State Corporation "Turkmengeologiya" are working on the search for groundwater, clarification of their reserves, as well as on the operation of wells in order to provide sufficient water to the settlements of the Lebap region.
Providing high-quality drinking and irrigation water to the largest industrial region of the country is a priority direction of the hydrogeological expedition of the State Corporation "Turkmengeology". Hydrogeologists successfully solve this problem, achieving high performance indicators.
At present, the expedition continues to search for underground aquifers, to clarify their reserves, and also monitors the state of operating wells. Assessment of groundwater reserves is one of the difficult types of work performed by geologists. Last year, new wells were drilled on the territory of the Khalach province , and a reassessment of operational water reserves was carried out at the Garabekevul well.
Within the framework of the General Program for providing the settlements of Turkmenistan with clean drinking water, numerous water treatment complexes have been built. New water wells are a key resource in ensuring efficient water delivery to wastewater treatment plants.
