On September 7, the Central Building of the Oil and Gas Complex of Turkmenistan hosted a reporting meeting chaired by Vice Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Myratgeldi Meredov, at which the results of the work of the industry enterprises for eight months of 2020, held under the slogan "Turkmenistan - Homeland of Neutrality", were discussed.
At the meeting, which was held in the format of a video link, important aspects of the implementation of the tasks set for the oil and gas complex at an expanded meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers held on September 4 this year were considered.
Turning to the consideration of the issues on the agenda, Deputy Prime Minister Myratgeldi Meredov reported on the results of the enlarged meeting of the government, at which the results of the work of the sectors of the national economy were discussed, as well as the promising tasks for the oil and gas industry were identified.
Further, the State Minister - Chairman of the State Concern "Turkmengas" B. Amanov, Chairman of the State Corporation "Turkmennebit" G. Baygeldyev, Chairman of the State Corporation "Turkmengeologiya" M. Rozyev, General Director of the TCOR D. Chishiev, as well as heads of departments and enterprises complex.
In the speeches, information was given on the production of natural gas, gas condensate, and other products of enterprises and institutions of the industry. Tasks of increasing the volume of liquefied gas production were touched upon, ways of attracting mutually beneficial investment in the fuel and energy complex were considered.
They also discussed issues on accelerating the construction of the strategically important Turkmenistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan-India gas pipeline.
In their speeches, the heads of enterprises and institutions of the complex noted the consistent build-up of comprehensive work at the Galkynysh, Dovletabat fields, and also informed about the work in the field of developing new wells and increasing the productivity of the existing fields of Uzynada, Altyguyy, Goturdepe.
The reports contained information on the implementation of tasks for the integrated development of a plant for the production of polyethylene and polypropylene in Kiyanli, a plant for the production of high-quality gasoline in the Akhal region. It was also reported on production and economic indicators for the development of capital investments in the field of oil and natural gas production, production of oil products and the introduction of innovative technologies.
Within the framework of the report, information was sounded on the implementation of research and design and exploration work carried out by specialists of the Scientific Research Institute of Natural Gas of the State Corporation "Turkmengas" and the Institute "Nebitgazylmytaslama" of the State Corporation "Turkmennebit".
At the end of the meeting, Vice Prime Minister M. Meredov wished its participants success in the implementation of the "Program for the development of the oil and gas industry of Turkmenistan for the period up to 2030" and the "Program for the socio-economic development of the country for 2019-2025", stressing in this regard the inherent importance of the oil and gas complex in the stable development of the economy of our country.
