On Thursday, an online meeting was held at the Central Office of the Oil and Gas Complex of Turkmenistan with ENI (Italian Republic) Executive Director for Central Asia Luca Vignati. The negotiations were attended by the Advisor to the President of Turkmenistan on oil and gas issues Yagshigeldy Kakaev.According to the website of the foreign ministry of our country, during the meeting the parties discussed issues of the ENI company’s activities in Turkmenistan, the results of the work carried out, as well as the challenges associated with the COVID-19 pandemic. Noting the open and trusting nature of cooperation with Turkmenistan, the Italian side thanked the Turkmen partners for their close cooperation.The company’s proposals on the necessary measures to optimize investments and activities in accordance with the current economic situation were also considered - in order to preserve the value and stability of assets in the interests of both parties.In Turkmenistan, a branch of the Italian company ENI operates under the Production Sharing Agreement on the Nebitdag contract territory located in the Balkan Region.
