Prospects for cooperation in industry, energy and other areas were discussed at the Turkmen-Tatarstan business forum

 Prospects for partnership in the fields of industry, energy, agriculture and transport between the business circles of Turkmenistan and Tatarstan were discussed at the Turkmen-Tatarstan business forum, held on Wednesday in Ashgabat.

 From the Turkmen side, representatives of a number of sectoral ministries and departments, as well as members of the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs took part in the business forum.  The delegation of Tatarstan included representatives of state institutions and companies of the Republic, specializing in various areas of economic activity.

 The participants of the meeting focused on the positive experience of interaction between the business circles of Tatarstan and Turkmenistan.  Participation in the implementation of joint projects of such companies as KAMAZ, Tatneft, KER-Holding was named as examples of successful partnership.

 The presence of great potential for the development of ties in such areas as automotive, aircraft and shipbuilding, energy, supplies of chemical products, pharmaceuticals and medicine, agro-industrial complex, etc. Was also emphasized.

 It was noted that there are wide opportunities for the exchange of experience in such areas as the creation of special economic zones, industrial and technology parks, engineering and research centers, the development of nano- and IT technologies, the production of composite materials and robotics.

 Representatives of the Turkmen side noted that the construction industry occupies a special place in the development of bilateral relations at the present stage.  Energy, agriculture, transport, mechanical engineering, agro-industrial complex were named among the promising areas of cooperation.

 Within the framework of the business forum, bilateral meetings were also held between representatives of ministries, departments, private structures and businessmen of Turkmenistan and Tatarstan, during which prospects were discussed and plans for further cooperation were outlined.  During the meetings, a cooperation agreement was signed between the trading network of supermarkets of Turkmenistan «Halk market» and «Natural health» LLC.
