President Serdar Berdimuhamedov signed a law on the ratification of the Agreement between the governments of Turkmenistan, Azerbaijan and Turkey on trade and economic cooperation.  The text of the law was published on Thursday in the central media of our country.

“Ratify the Agreement between the Government of Turkmenistan, the Government of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Government of the Republic of Turkey on trade and economic cooperation, signed on December 14, 2022 in the city of Turkmenbashi,” the law says.

This agreement was signed during the trilateral summit of the heads of state of Turkmenistan, Azerbaijan and Turkey in the city of Turkmenbashi in December 2022.

Last week, the Mejlis of Turkmenistan ratified this trilateral Agreement on trade and economic cooperation.

The main goal of the document is to strengthen friendly relations, develop and intensify mutually beneficial trade and economic ties, including long-term cooperation in the areas of trade in goods and services, energy, agriculture, food, chemical industry, transport and logistics, it was noted at a parliament meeting.

The approval of this document by Turkmenistan, supplementing the legal base of trade and economic relations with Azerbaijan and Turkey, will contribute to the opening of new areas of cooperation on issues of mutual interest, as well as the development and strengthening of trade and economic partnership.
