 The presentation ceremony of the book “Islamic Development Bank and Dr. Ahmad Mohammad Ali. The history of the institution and the path of its President”, by the first president of the Islamic Development Bank Ahmad Mohammad Ali Al-Madani to the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslakhaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov took place. This was reported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.

 The event was attended by heads and representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the State Bank for Foreign Economic Affairs, the Agency for Transport and Communications under the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan, a number of ministries, departments, teachers and students of higher educational institutions of our country, as well as heads and employees of diplomatic missions of foreign states, representative offices of international and  regional organizations, including banking and financial structures accredited in Turkmenistan.

 In their speeches, the participants focused on the history of the IDB, its present day and activities, detailed information was given on the development of the partnership of this financial institution with member countries, including Turkmenistan.

 The long-term and effective cooperation between Turkmenistan and the IDB was emphasized in the context of implementing partnerships in a wide range of trade and economic areas, primarily in the field of investment policy aimed at implementing projects of global importance.

As the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov noted in his speech, over the years of fruitful cooperation between Turkmenistan and the IDB, since 1994, the Bank has financed 26 projects in the country.  These projects are of great importance for the sustainable socio-economic development of Turkmenistan and relate to such sectors as medicine and healthcare, water management, railways and sea routes, telecommunications, and gas transport infrastructure.

 R. Meredov also emphasized that the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslakhaty of Turkmenistan is at the origin of such successful mutually beneficial relations, which have grown into a strategic partnership today.

 It was emphasized that today the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov continues to expand and deepen cooperation with reputable international financial and trade organizations, to accept our country as a full member of the global financial community.

 As part of the presentation of the book, the participants of the event got acquainted with the exhibition dedicated to joint projects and cooperation between Turkmenistan and the Islamic Development Bank.

Over 320 billion cubic meters of Turkmen gas supplied since the start of operation of the Turkmenistan-China gas pipeline, – CNPC

Since the opening of the transnational Turkmenistan-China gas pipeline in 2009, over 320 billion cubic meters of Turkmen gas have been exported to the Celestial Empire. General director of the branch of the National Petroleum Corporation of China (CNPC) Chen Huailong stated this, the Watan news program of the Turkmen television reported.

Turkmenistan is one of the three leaders in the supply of gasoline to Uzbekistan

In January-November 2021, Uzbekistan imported 141.2 million liters of motor gasoline from Turkmenistan. This was reported by the State Statistics Committee of Uzbekistan. Thus, Turkmenistan ranks second in the supply of motor gasoline to the neighboring country.
