The results of the fuel and energy complex work for the first half of 2023 were discussed at an expanded meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers

 Last Friday, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov held an expanded meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers, which discussed the results of the work of the sectors of the economy of Turkmenistan for six months of this year, the pace of implementation of state programs for the country’s socio-economic development, as well as priority tasks for the second half of the year and personnel issues.

 During the meeting, Vice-Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Batyr Amanov reported on the results of the work carried out in the oil and gas industry in January-June 2023.

 Reporting on the technical and economic indicators achieved in the field of oil and gas condensate production, in particular, by the State Concern “Turkmennebit”, the Vice-Chairman said that the plan for providing oil was fulfilled at the level of 101.8 percent, for oil refining – by 102.5 percent, for the production of gasoline - by 112.7 percent, diesel fuel – by 106.4 percent, polypropylene – by 118.3 percent, the production of lubricating oils – by 100.1 percent, liquefied gas – by 113.5 percent.

 It was also reported that the plan for the extraction of natural and associated gas for the period under review was fulfilled by 108.3 percent, for the export of “blue fuel” – by 112.1 percent.

 Summing up the report, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov focused on the priority tasks facing the fuel and energy complex of our country.  In particular, instructions were given to continue introducing modern technologies into the oil and gas sector and take comprehensive measures to increase the potential of specialized enterprises.

 In accordance with the investment program, work should be carried out to increase capacities by commissioning new production facilities, the head of state emphasized, having addressed the Vice-Chairman with a number of specific Instructions.

Over 320 billion cubic meters of Turkmen gas supplied since the start of operation of the Turkmenistan-China gas pipeline, – CNPC

Since the opening of the transnational Turkmenistan-China gas pipeline in 2009, over 320 billion cubic meters of Turkmen gas have been exported to the Celestial Empire. General director of the branch of the National Petroleum Corporation of China (CNPC) Chen Huailong stated this, the Watan news program of the Turkmen television reported.

In January-November 2021, Uzbekistan imported 141.2 million liters of motor gasoline from Turkmenistan. This was reported by the State Statistics Committee of Uzbekistan. Thus, Turkmenistan ranks second in the supply of motor gasoline to the neighboring country.
