The international exhibition and conference “Oil and Gas of Turkmenistan-2023” starts in Ashgabat

Today, the international conference and exhibition “Oil and Gas of Turkmenistan-2023” will start in the building of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Turkmenistan.
The organizers of the large-scale forum are the state concerns “Turkmennebit” and “Turkmengas”, the State Corporation “Turkmengeology” in partnership with the Economic Organization “Turkmen Forum” with the support of the British company GaffneyCline in cooperation with the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Turkmenistan.
In the first half of the day, the opening of the international exhibition OGT Expo took place. Those who gathered for the event listened with great interest to the address of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov to the participants of the XXVIII International Conference and Exhibition “Oil and Gas of Turkmenistan - 2023”.
As emphasized in the address of the head of state, the “Industry exposition and conference “Oil and Gas of Turkmenistan”, which are held annually in our capital, significantly contribute to increasing cooperation between domestic specialized enterprises and foreign companies. I am confident that the current forum will provide our specialists with a wonderful opportunity to demonstrate their potential and further expand the partnership”.
Representatives of about 50 companies from 30 countries of the world are participating in the exhibition. In total, about 200 exhibitors are represented at the exhibition. It is expected that more than 10 thousand people will visit the exhibition during the exhibition period.
The exhibition presents the best achievements of the domestic and global oil and gas industry, complemented by new ideas and functions, in accordance with modern trends in the development of the industry.
The achievements of the domestic oil and gas industry are widely presented at the colorful informative stands of the State Concerns “Turkmengas” and “Turkmennebit”, and the State Corporation “Turkmengeology”.
New elements introduced at this year's exhibition aim to highlight the importance of strengthening cooperation between national and international oil companies, reinforcing the growing role of mutually beneficial partnerships.
The purpose of the exhibition is to strengthen regional dialogue on the further sustainable development of the energy sector, review the latest trends in the global energy system and expand opportunities for attracting foreign direct investment in the oil and gas industry of Turkmenistan.
The international exhibition will run for three days – until October 28 inclusive. It is expected that during the exhibition, more than 10 thousand visitors will get acquainted with its exhibits.
In the afternoon, the International Conference “Oil and Gas of Turkmenistan – 2023” will begin its work. The forum will be attended by representatives of government and international organizations, national and private oil and gas companies, as well as experts from Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Turkey, USA, Russian Federation, UAE, China, Japan, Malaysia, UK, Italy, Cyprus, Spain, Germany, Switzerland, Singapore.
The agenda of the forum includes a wide range of topical issues, such as the effective use of the richest natural resources, the development of energy markets and investment activities, the development of new fields, hydrocarbon processing, petrochemistry, gas chemical, chemical industries and electric power, the introduction of environmentally friendly production, the attraction of innovative technologies and advanced developments and others.
