The industry meeting summed up the results of the fuel and energy complex for the first quarter of 2024

A reporting meeting was held in the Central building of the oil and gas complex of Turkmenistan, at which the results of the work of industry enterprises for January-March 2024, held under the motto “The Fount of the Mind of Magtymguly Fragi,” were discussed. At the reporting meeting, the tasks set for the country’s oil and gas complex by President Serdar Berdimuhamedov at the regular meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan, held on April 6 via a digital system, were discussed, at which the results of the work of all sectors of the national economy of the country were summed up, and specific ways to further advance work in this area were considered.
Opening the reporting meeting, Vice-Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan Batyr Amanov noted that through the efforts of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, the state provides regular support in the improvement and consistent development of the oil and gas industry, modernization of its material and technical base, and also emphasized the need to effectively solve the problems set before the domestic fuel and energy complex.
During the meeting, the State Minister of Turkmenistan - Chairman of the State Concern "Turkmengas" Maksat Babayev, Chairman of the State Concern "Turkmennebit" Guvanch Agadzhanov, Chairman of the State Corporation "Turkmengeology" Gurbangeldy Garlyev, as well as heads of associations, departments, organizations and enterprises of the complex made a report on the work done work for January-March of the current year.
The presentations included information about the production of oil, gas condensate and liquefied gas in the country, the widespread use of a digital system in the complex’s activities, increasing the volume of hydrocarbon resources produced, accelerating the pace of construction work, the need to control issues related to the construction of TAPI, and the development of the dynamics of work at the Galkynysh field, expanding the cooperation with leading foreign companies, as well as in other equally relevant areas.
During the reporting meeting, Vice-Chairman Batyr Amanov noted the need for constant monitoring of major projects being implemented in the country’s oil and gas sector, expanding the range of implementation of innovative technologies in the industry, continuing preparatory work for the Energy Investment Forum of Turkmenistan, which will be held on April 24-25 in Paris, as well as identified important tasks for the State Corporation “Turkmengas”, “Turkmennebit” and the state corporation “Turkmengeology”.
Advisor to the President of Turkmenistan on oil and gas issues, Ashyrguly Begliev, highlighted priority areas in the oil and gas complex and emphasized the importance of applying the latest achievements of science in the implementation of large projects, introducing innovations into the activities of the complex and the need to familiarize local specialists with the progress of work, etc.
Vice-Chairman Batyr Amanov called on the industry’s workforce to make efforts to develop the oil and gas industry and wished the workers of the complex success in effectively solving the tasks assigned to them.
