TOMORROW THE INTERNATIONAL FORUM TO ATTRACT FOREIGN INVESTMENT IN THE ENERGY SECTOR OF TURKMENISTAN STARTS IN PARIS

Tomorrow, April 24, the International Forum to attract foreign investment in the energy sector of Turkmenistan (TEIF 2024) will begin its work in the French capital Paris. The organizers of this prestigious event are the State Concerns “Turkmengas” and “Turkmennebit” in partnership with the “Turkmen Forum” and the British company GaffneyCline
The goal of the Paris Forum is to attract foreign direct investment in the oil and gas, energy, transport and communications sectors of the economy of Turkmenistan.
The forum is planned to discuss the future of cooperation related to the production, transportation and refining of oil and gas, the development of renewable energy and the expansion of international dialogues on the further sustainable development of the energy industry.
National organizations and ministries of Turkmenistan will take part in the forum. State Concerns "Turkmennebit" and "Turkmengas", State Corporation "Turkmengeology", Ministry of Finance and Economy of Turkmenistan, Turkmen Refinery Plant, State Concern "Turkmenchemistry", Ministry of Energy of Turkmenistan, NAPECO, TAPI "Pipeline Company Limited", Research Institute of Natural Gas of the State Concern "Turkmengas" will provide potential investors with reliable and comprehensive information about new investment projects.
During the forum, which will be held in Paris on April 24-25, effective solutions to reduce methane and associated gas emissions during the development of hydrocarbon fields will be discussed.
At TEIF 2024, leading experts from Turkmenistan and the UN, representatives of OPEC, the International Energy Agency (IEA) and international companies will express their opinions during a panel discussion on the topic “Reducing methane and carbon dioxide emissions from hydrocarbon production.”
High-ranking speakers include OPEC Secretary General Haitham al-Ghais, UN Deputy Secretary General, Executive Secretary of the UN Economic Commission for Europe Tatiana Molchan, President of the International Gas Union Li Yalan, as well as representatives of a number of leading energy, construction, transport and financial companies.
Business meetings of Turkmen companies and foreign investors within the framework of TEIF 2024 will further expand opportunities to attract direct investment in priority areas of the economy of Turkmenistan.
Also, within the framework of the Paris International Forum, a number of cultural events dedicated to the 300th anniversary of the great Turkmen poet Magtymguly Fragi are planned.
The events are organized by the Ministry of Culture of Turkmenistan together with the Embassy of Turkmenistan in France and the Permanent Mission of Turkmenistan to UNESCO.
