Recently, an educational and methodological forum “Let's save nature from fires!” was held in the Koytendag State Nature Reserve. The event, organized by the Lebap regional branch of the Nature Conservation Society of Turkmenistan, was attended by representatives of the fire safety department of the velayat police department, organizations and enterprises of the Koytendag etrap.

The choice of location for this event was not accidental.  Koytendag, one of the picturesque corners of the country, is home to rare species of animals and plants.  During the meeting, speeches were heard from the deputy head of the Lebap regional branch of the Nature Conservation Society of Turkmenistan Merdan Jumaev, a specialist from the same department Rejepgul Khuddyeva, a teacher at the fire safety training center of the Lebap region police department, senior lieutenant of the internal service Agajan Veliyev, and others.  It was noted that our country puts forward initiatives of international importance and demonstrates a comprehensive commitment to ensuring environmental safety and maintaining the natural balance. Representatives of the environmental society take an active part in this.  Promotional and explanatory meetings and events related to nature protection and fire safety are harmoniously combined with active participation in spring and autumn events for mass planting of seedlings, care and cultivation of shady and fruit trees, various flowers.

At the forum, it was noted with satisfaction that the successful implementation of the gasification program for the country's settlements has a positive impact on the environment.  Natural gas has also become available to residents of remote villages on the territory of Koytendag.  As a result, there was no need to use forest plants as fuel.  Starting to use environmentally friendly fuel also requires the population to comply with appropriate safety rules.  The relevant experts dwelled in detail on safety issues regarding the use and operation of household gas equipment, thereby noting the importance of the effective use of “blue fuel”.

The event participants visited Daridere, the Kyrkgyz cave, a plateau with dinosaur tracks, pistachio groves, a lake near the village of Koyten and other attractions, enjoyed the beauty of nature and discussed the agenda with interest.
