Companies in the oil and gas sector of Turkmenistan held a conference dedicated to World Occupational Safety and Health Day

 The Dragon Oil company, with the support of the State Concern Türkmennebit, organized a conference on occupational health, safety and environmental safety management, dedicated to World Occupational Safety and Health Day, celebrated in our country on April 28. The newspaper “Neutral Turkmenistan” reports this.

 The forum was attended by managers and leading specialists of Turkmen and foreign companies working in the field of production, logistics, transportation of hydrocarbons, as well as in household services and food.

 Ali Rashid al-Jarwan, Chief Executive Officer of the Dragon Oil Company, and Guvanch Aghajanov, Chairman of the SC «Turkmennebit», addressed the audience with a welcoming speech. As emphasized, Turkmenistan places the highest demands on environmental safety and labor protection issues.  It was also noted that the Caspian Sea with its unique ecosystem requires special attention.  All economic projects in the Caspian Sea are carried out on the basis of high international environmental standards.

 At the conference sessions, general principles of managing the main safety risks and minimizing damage and harm during various types of work in the oil and gas sector, advanced methods of organizing maritime transportation, current procedures and regulations in the global oil and gas industry to minimize the human factor, as well as issues of increasing awareness and responsibility were discussed  employees to maintain high industry standards for health, safety and environmental protection.

 Representatives of the companies Dragon Oil, Caspian Driller, Odjfell, ILK Construction, Sowda Gurlushyk Maslahat, Injener Chozgutleri, NCG Services Ltd., Schlumberger, Baker Hughes, Bue Marine  , Arassa Deňiz and others discussed joint initiatives aimed at improving the safety management system in the oil and gas industry and creating reliable partnerships in risk management in these matters.

 The Dragon Oil company is one of the largest partners of Turkmenistan in the development of oil and gas fields on the Turkmen shelf of the Caspian Sea.  Ensuring operational safety and environmental protection is a key focus of the company's work.
