The Turkmenistan delegation participated in the 13th International Investment Forum in Abu Dhabi

The delegation from Turkmenistan, led by Rahimberdy Jepbarov, the chairman of the State Bank for Foreign Economic Affairs of Turkmenistan, participated in the 13th International Investment Forum and Exhibition, which took place in Abu Dhabi from May 7 to May 9. This was reported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.

This large-scale investment forum annually gathers representatives of governments, business leaders, investors, politicians, experts, as well as key industry players and those interested in addressing global issues, promoting investments, and accelerating the recovery of the global economy.

On the sidelines of the forum, representatives of the Turkmen delegation held a series of bilateral meetings with foreign partners including delegations from Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, and the UAE.

The agenda of the meetings included such topical issues as the development of economic relations between countries, the effective use of natural resources, the development of energy markets, attracting investments into mutually beneficial large-scale projects, new mechanisms for contact in the area of enhancing productivity at major fields, the introduction of environmentally friendly productions, innovative technologies, and know-how.

In 2021, the volume of gas purchased by Gazprom from Turkmenistan is likely to double and amount to about 10 billion cubic meters.
