The President of Turkmenistan approved the State Program for Comprehensive Development of Biotechnology until 2028

President Serdar Berdimuhamedov signed a decree approving the State Program for the Comprehensive Development of Biotechnology in Turkmenistan until 2028. The corresponding document was published in the central media of our country.
The draft of this decree was presented to the head of state at the government meeting on May 10 by the Vice-Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan, Nurmuhammed Amannepesov.
As the Vice-Chairman noted, the State Program for the Comprehensive Development of Biotechnologies in Turkmenistan for 2024-2028 was prepared by the Technology Center of the Academy of Sciences of Turkmenistan in collaboration with relevant ministries and agencies.
"The main goal is to enhance the role of science in the reforms across all sectors of the country's economy, including accelerating through biological science and biotechnologies the development of innovative technologies for the production of environmentally friendly, energy-saving, import-substituting, and export products," N. Amannepesov said.
Having heard the report, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov emphasized that today great attention is paid to the wide use of innovative technologies in the scientific field. By signing the decree on the approval of the corresponding Program and the Action Plan for its implementation, the head of state issued a number of specific instructions to the Vice Premier.
The document instructs the Academy of Sciences, relevant ministries, and agencies to ensure the implementation of the specified State Program.
