The President of Turkmenistan discussed the priorities of intergovernmental partnership with the chairman of the Japanese-Turkmen Parliamentary Friendship Group

The chairman of the Japanese-Turkmen Parliamentary Friendship Group, Toshiaki Endo, invited the President of Turkmenistan, Serdar Berdimuhamedov, to visit the World Expo "EXPO-2025," which will be held in Japan next year, as reported by TDH.
The invitation was extended during a meeting on May 14 between President Serdar Berdimuhamedov and Toshiaki Endo.
It was noted at the meeting that Turkmenistan is showing great interest in actively participating in the World Expo "EXPO-2025," which Japan will host next year. For this purpose, a special organizing committee has been created, and preparation work is currently underway.
Taking the opportunity, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov wished Japan success in hosting "EXPO-2025," which will be an important event in the history of the country and World Expos.
Expressing gratitude for the kind words, Toshiaki Endo invited the head of the Turkmen state to visit the World Expo.
During the meeting, there was also an engaged exchange of views on the priority aspects of Turkmen-Japanese partnership. The interlocutors noted the progressive dynamics of interaction within the "Central Asia+Japan" dialogue, which has proven to be an effective mechanism for cooperation.
In this context, the chairman of the Japanese-Turkmen Parliamentary Friendship Group said he would be pleased to see President Serdar Berdimuhamedov at the Summit of the heads of state participating in this format.
In turn, the head of Turkmenistan emphasized the importance of the Summit for increasing effective intergovernmental cooperation that meets common interests.
Serdar Berdimuhamedov also stated that relations between the two countries are long-term and strategic. One of the key vectors of Turkmen-Japanese relations is the trade-economic partnership, which is stable and long-term. Here, great importance is attached to the activity of the joint committee.
In this context, it was emphasized that Turkmenistan and major Japanese companies have accumulated many years of experience in various fields, including the gas industry and chemical industry.
On the same day, the prospects for bilateral cooperation along the lines of legislative bodies were discussed during a meeting of the chairman of the Japanese-Turkmen Parliamentary Friendship Group with deputies of the Mejlis of Turkmenistan.
