Trade turnover between Turkmenistan and Russia increased by 13% in 2023

At the end of 2023, mutual trade turnover between Russia and Turkmenistan increased in physical terms by 13% and amounted to 678 million tons. This was said at a meeting between Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Marat Khusnullin, reports the News Portal of the State Television and Radio of Turkmenistan.
The working meeting took place on Thursday on the sidelines of the XV International Economic Forum “Russia – Islamic World: KazanForum” in Kazan.
During the meeting, it was noted that supplies of Russian products to Turkmenistan increased in physical terms by 11% (to 542 million tons), while Turkmenistan increased its exports to Russia by 22% (to 136 million tons).
“Our countries are actively working to strengthen bilateral relations in many areas. I thank the leadership of Turkmenistan for strengthening friendly relations between our countries,” Marat Khusnullin said.
