The prospects of cooperation between Turkmenistan and the Scandinavian countries within the European Union, including the context of the EU’s Global Gateway initiative, were discussed on May 22 at a meeting between the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Myahri Byashimova with the Ambassador of Norway to Turkmenistan John Mikal Kvistad and the Ambassador of Sweden to Turkmenistan Tomas Danestad, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of our country reports.
During the meeting, the parties expressed interest in developing trade and economic cooperation and expanding contacts among business circles.
Among the promising areas of cultural and humanitarian partnerships, the holding of Days of Cultures, joint exhibitions and other cultural events was noted.
Global Gateway, a global economic project of the EU, envisages investing in projects for the development of infrastructure, green energy and hydrogen fuel production and the establishment of economic partnerships.
