Interaction in the sphere of energy and transport is on the agenda of the Ashgabat meeting of the CIS Council of Heads of Government

Today, on May 24, Ashgabat is hosting the next meeting of the Council of Heads of Government of the Commonwealth of Independent States. Members of the Council will exchange views on current topics of economic interaction within the Commonwealth.
The draft Conception of cooperation in the energy sector, the Plan of priority measures for its implementation and the Action Plan for optimizing infrastructure and developing international transport corridors passing through the territories of the CIS member states will be discussed in a broad format.
At the meeting, it is planned to adopt a number of documents relating to cooperation in the field of healthcare, the chemical industry, hazardous waste management and counteraction against violations in the sphere of intellectual property.
Another important issue on the agenda of the Council of Heads of Government is the announcement of Ashgabat as the City of New Sports Opportunities of the Commonwealth.
The meeting of the Council of Heads of Government of the CIS in Ashgabat will be chaired by Russia.
