SOCAR and BOTAS signed an agreement on transporting Turkmen gas to Turkey via Azerbaijan

The State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) and the Turkish company BOTAS signed a number of contracts for the supply, transportation and transit of natural gas, Azertag reports.
The signing ceremony was attended by the Minister of Economy of Azerbaijan, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of SOCAR Mikail Jabbarov and the Minister of Energy and Natural Resources of Turkey Alparslan Bayraktar.
The agreements provide for the transportation of natural gas to Turkey through SOCAR and the delivery of Azerbaijani gas to Bulgaria through Turkey, cooperation in the field of gas supplies to Nakhchivan, as well as the transportation of Turkmen gas to Turkey through Azerbaijan and third countries.
An agreement was also signed between the Azerbaijan Gas Supply Company and BOTAS, providing for the continuation of gas transportation to Turkey from the Shah Deniz field.
