Ashgabat hosts talks with Afghan delegation on economic cooperation​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​

A series of important bilateral meetings with the Afghan delegation, headed by Acting Minister of Mining and Petroleum Hussein Badri, took place in the capital of Turkmenistan on Thursday, TDH reports.

During the talks, the Afghan side expressed interest in expanding cooperation with Turkmenistan. The central focus of the discussions was on strengthening mutually beneficial partnership in various sectors of the economy.

Particular attention was paid to the prospects for implementing large-scale joint projects. The Afghan delegation expressed interest in participating in ongoing projects in Turkmenistan, emphasizing the country's commitment to international cooperation.

The parties held a detailed dialogue on a wide range of issues aimed at deepening bilateral relations and identifying new areas of interaction.

The Turkmen news portal of the State Television and Radio Broadcasting Company of the country reports that a meeting of the board of directors of TAPI Pipeline Company Limited was held in Ashgabat on August 29, where key aspects of the implementation of the Turkmenistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan-India (TAPI) gas pipeline project and the prospects for the development of the country's fuel and energy complex were discussed.

It is noted that the TAPI project, connecting Turkmenistan, Afghanistan, Pakistan and India, plays a strategic role in expanding export opportunities and ensuring energy security in the region.

The meeting participants emphasized the importance of continuing active work on the project and implementing the planned activities for the successful completion of all stages of the gas pipeline construction.
