Pulitzer Prize winner Daniel Yergin to speak at OGT 2024 International Conference in Ashgabat

World-renowned energy expert and Pulitzer Prize winner Daniel Yergin will take part in the 29th International Conference “Oil and Gas of Turkmenistan – OGT 2024”, which will be held from October 23 to 25, 2024 in Ashgabat.

The organizing committee of the conference notes that Yergin will speak at the plenary session of the event dedicated to discussing new trends in the global energy market and prospects for international cooperation.

The upcoming OGT 2024 forum, organized by the State Concerns “Turkmengas” and “Turkmennebit”, as well as the State Corporation “Turkmengeology” and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Turkmenistan, is expected to become a significant event in the energy sector.  Yergin’s participation underlines the importance of the event as a platform for sharing experiences among leading industry experts.

Daniel Yergin is widely known for his works, including the Pulitzer Prize-winning book Extraction: The Global History of the Struggle for Oil, Money, and Power. His analytical approach and deep understanding of energy markets and geopolitics have made him one of the most influential voices in the industry. Yergin is also a vice president and chief analyst at S&P Global, giving him a unique perspective on contemporary challenges in the energy sector.
