President of Turkmenistan holds meeting with Petronas management

President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov visited the headquarters of Petronas, the country's largest oil and gas company, during his official visit to Malaysia on December 18-19. During the meeting, the head of Turkmenistan discussed with the company's management priority areas of bilateral cooperation, the current state and prospects of partnership between Turkmenistan and Petronas in the energy sector, TDH reports.

Petronas has been actively involved in hydrocarbon production projects in Turkmenistan for almost 30 years. This contribution was highly appreciated by President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, who noted that the oil and gas sector is one of the key areas for the development of economic relations between the two countries.

In addition, Petronas helps train qualified specialists for the Turkmen oil and gas industry, which is also of great importance for the development of this sector in Turkmenistan.

 The parties discussed the possibilities of expanding cooperation in new areas, taking into account the implementation of economic programs and reforms carried out in Turkmenistan. They noted the favorable conditions for doing business that have been created in Turkmenistan, as well as the intention to continue working together in the long term. 

The heads of Petronas expressed gratitude to Turkmenistan for the conditions created for the company's effective operation in the country, and confirmed their readiness to further develop mutually beneficial cooperation. 

During his visit to the Petronas skyscraper, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov also got acquainted with the history and features of this famous building, which is one of the tallest and most complex in design in the world.
