The President of Turkmenistan approved work plans for the development of the country's economy for 2025

The President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov approved work plans for the economic, financial, banking and other sectors of the country's economy for 2025. The draft work plans for 2025 were discussed in detail at a government meeting on January 3.
As Vice-Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan Hojamyrad Geldimyradov noted, the work plans for the economic, financial and banking sectors, prepared in accordance with the program of socio-economic development of Turkmenistan in 2022-2028, outline measures to ensure macroeconomic stability, develop the digital economy, and further introduce modern technologies.
In particular, they provide for an analysis of the country's socio-economic growth, the financial and economic state of industries, measures for the successful implementation of the state budget, improving investment policy, organizing activities for the effective management of state property and financial resources.
In addition, further steps will be taken to implement advanced international experience and modernize the legislative framework, develop banking and insurance services, the standardization system, and improve the activities of national statistics institutions.
After hearing the report, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov emphasized the importance of ensuring economic stability in the country and developing the digital economy. The head of state noted the need to analyze the socio-economic development of the country and regions, the financial and economic state of the industries, and to achieve successful execution of the state budget.
During the government meeting, the President also heard and approved the work plans for 2025 presented by the industry vice-chairmen for the development of the fuel and energy complex, transport and communications and construction sectors, agriculture, and trade.
As noted, in accordance with these plans, in the coming year it is envisaged to continue the search for and development of oil and gas fields, hydrocarbon production, export of "blue fuel" and oil products, and the construction of the Afghan link of the TAPI gas pipeline in the fuel and energy sector. Measures are also planned to further strengthen the material and technical base of the electric power industry, introduce advanced technologies into production, increase the export potential of the chemical industry, produce new types of products, and bring existing enterprises to their design capacity.
In the transport sector, the construction of railway and bus stations, air harbors, as well as sea vessels, and the strengthening of the specialized material and technical base will continue.
In the field of agriculture, measures are planned to develop the cotton and silk industries, grain growing, the food industry, and strengthen food abundance. Among the urgent tasks are the development of livestock and poultry farming, as well as increasing the world fame of Ahal-Teke horses.
In all areas of the economy, it is envisaged to widely introduce a digital system and further improve the legal framework.
Having approved the work plans for the economic development of Turkmenistan for 2025, the head of state instructed to begin work on their implementation.
