Prospects for trade and economic cooperation between the countries of Central and South Asia, as well as ways to effectively use this potential, were discussed by participants in the international seminar «Regional Trade and Connectivity: Opening New Horizons and Opportunities» held in Pakistan. This was reported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.
The meeting was organized by the Institute for Strategic Research, Development and Analysis (ISSRA) jointly with the National Logistics Corporation (NLC) of Pakistan.
The ambassadors of Azerbaijan, Iran, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan to Pakistan, as well as economic experts from Pakistan and the UAE, spoke at the meeting.
The speakers noted the enormous prospects for trade and economic cooperation between the countries of Central and South Asia, and discussed ways to effectively use this potential, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs notes.
In his speech, Ambassador of Turkmenistan to Pakistan Atajan Movlamov emphasized the active role of Ashgabat in developing cooperation in the field of transport and energy, which is one of the most important priorities of our country's foreign policy.
