Demand for gas in the world for 8 months of this year decreased by 40 billion cubic meters, almost 30 billion of which fell on the EU countries, this is 73% of the decline in global demand, Gazprom CEO Alexei Miller said, RIA Novosti reports.

 «The energy policy of foreign regulators has led to a decrease in global demand for gas. Over the eight months of this year, global gas demand has decreased by 40 billion cubic meters. But let's see where it happened. Almost 30 billion cubic meters of gas is a reduction that 27 countries gave European Union. This is a 73% decline in global demand. And together with the UK – 85%,» Miller said in the transcript of the meeting dedicated to the Day of Oil and Gas Industry Workers.
