Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan is paying a visit to the Principality of Monaco

The National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov departed for a visit to the Principality of Monaco on January 19, TDH reports.

At the capital's International Airport, the Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan spoke with representatives of the country's media.

Hero Arkadag said that he was departing for a visit to the Principality of Monaco, which, among other destinations, is known in the world for its sporting achievements. As is known, Monaco has been declared the «Sports Capital of the World 2025». Under the leadership of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, this year in Turkmenistan has been declared the «International Year of Peace and Trust». In this regard, Hero Arkadag emphasized the important role of sports in strengthening peace and trust throughout the world.

 Continuing, the Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty quoted the words of the founder of the modern Olympic Games in 1894, Pierre de Coubertin, “Oh, sport! You are peace!” This expression as a symbol of peace, creativity, development, joy and a healthy lifestyle, as well as the desire to win, inspires everyone. 

Hero-Arkadag also noted that this year marks 10 years since the establishment of diplomatic relations between Turkmenistan and Monaco, and this visit will be a significant step in the development of cooperation between our countries in various fields. 

The National Leader of the Turkmen people emphasized the importance of wide coverage in the media of the partnership with Monaco and in this context gave relevant instructions to media representatives. 

Long-term bilateral cooperation between Turkmenistan and European countries is multifaceted, in particular, in the political-diplomatic, trade-economic and cultural-humanitarian spheres. Programs and projects designed to promote the socio-economic development of our state are effectively implemented with European countries. 

 Turkmenistan successfully implements projects in such areas as science and education, agriculture, environmental protection, and combating climate change.

Large European companies are fruitfully working in various segments of the Turkmen market. The number of representatives of business circles of the countries of the region interested in cooperation with Turkmenistan is growing.

The current visit of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov to the Principality of Monaco will open a new page in the development of mutually beneficial cooperation.
