The next meeting of the Intergovernmental Turkmen-Turkish Commission on Economic Cooperation will be held in Ashgabat

The next, eighth meeting of the Intergovernmental Turkmen-Turkish Commission on Economic Cooperation will be held in Ashgabat on February 19-20, TDH reports.

The preparations for the upcoming event were announced at a government meeting last Friday by Vice-Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Nokerguly Atagulyev.

As the Vice-Chairman noted, the agenda of the upcoming meeting will include issues of further development of multifaceted cooperation between the two countries in the trade and economic sphere and the cultural and humanitarian field.

In order to improve the efficiency of the Intergovernmental Turkmen-Turkish Commission, a corresponding proposal was submitted to the head of state for consideration.

After hearing the report, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov emphasized that Turkmenistan is implementing a multi-vector partnership with the Republic of Turkey, and bilateral trade and economic relations are effectively developing.

Having approved the proposal on the composition of the intergovernmental commission from the Turkmen side, the head of state instructed the Vice-Chairman to take appropriate steps.
