Participation of Japanese companies in construction of new plants in Turkmenistan discussed

Japanese Ambassador to Turkmenistan Hiroyuki Sasaki made a working visit to the western region of our country. At a meeting between the ambassador and the governor of the Balkan region, Hojamyrat Ashyrmyradov, the prospects for bilateral cooperation were discussed, including possible projects for the construction of plants with the participation of Japanese companies, the Japanese Embassy in Turkmenistan reported.
Turkmenistan actively cooperates with Kawasaki Heavy Industries Ltd. The Japanese company has implemented a number of major projects in our country, including a plant for the production of gasoline from natural gas in Ovadandepe, a urea plant in the Mary region and the Kelata cement plant.
Earlier, Turkmenistan and Japan discussed the organizational aspects of the upcoming visit of the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov to Japan, scheduled for April 2025.
As part of his trip to the Balkan region, the Japanese Ambassador visited the village of Gerkez, the birthplace of the poet Magtymguly Pyragi, as well as the Gozli-ata mausoleum, revered in Turkmenistan as a sacred place.
