The President of Turkmenistan discussed promising areas of partnership with the new Ambassador of Saudi Arabia

On April 17, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov received the new Ambassador of Saudi Arabia to Turkmenistan Amer bin Ali Al-Shehri, who presented his credentials to the head of state, TDH reports.
During the exchange of views on the state and prospects of interstate partnership in the trade and economic sphere, the annually increasing trade turnover between the countries was noted, as well as the availability of all opportunities for activating targeted interaction.
The fuel and energy, trade, investment, transport and communications sectors, the chemical industry, textile and agricultural industries were identified among the promising vectors of cooperation.
During the meeting, it was also emphasized that Turkmenistan attaches particular importance to building up a close partnership: the Turkmen-Saudi dialogue serves as a model of cooperation based on friendship, trust, mutual respect and equality.
Both countries successfully interact not only in a bilateral format, but also within the framework of authoritative international structures, primarily the UN and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation. In this regard, Berdimuhamedov thanked the Saudi side for its active support of Turkmenistan's initiatives and proposals on the world stage.
