Veterans of the Great Patriotic War will be presented with gifts on behalf of the President of Turkmenistan in honor of Victory Day

President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov signed a Decree on the presentation of cash and valuable gifts to veterans of the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945. The corresponding document was published in the central media of the country.

According to the Decree, "in honor of the 80th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945, the major offices of the regions, cities and etraps are instructed to solemnly present cash gifts in the amount of 200 manats and valuable gifts to war veterans on behalf of the President of Turkmenistan." As noted in the document, the decision was made “in honor of the unparalleled heroism displayed on the battlefield by participants in the Great Patriotic War of 1941–1945, the dedication of the gray-haired mothers who worked in the rear at that time, taking into account their noble work in educating the younger generation in the spirit of patriotism, heroism, courage, strengthening the unity and cohesion of our people, and their contribution to the successful implementation of fundamental reforms in the country”.
