Government meeting discusses digitalization issues in the gas industry

On May 17, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov held a regular meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers using the digital system, with a number of issues of state life on the agenda, TDH reports.

During the meeting, Vice-Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Batyr Amanov reported on the activities of the oil and gas sector, in particular, the State Concern “Turkmengas”.

In particular, it was reported that the necessary work is underway to widely introduce a digital system at large industrial enterprises and manage these enterprises in accordance with international practice. This allows for monitoring and effectively coordinating drilling operations, natural gas production and directing its flow to the existing unified gas pipeline system, as well as daily consumption.

In this regard, a corresponding proposal was submitted to the head of state for consideration.

Summarizing the report, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov noted that great importance is attached to the uninterrupted supply of natural gas to the country's population, industrial enterprises and social facilities.

In this context, the head of state instructed the Vice-Chairman to strengthen control over the production of natural gas by the State Concern “Turkmengas” its supply and provision to consumers.
