The Presidents of Turkmenistan and Kazakhstan discussed issues of bilateral and regional cooperation

During his working visit to Kazakhstan, President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov met with the Head of the Republic Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, TDH reports.
The leader of the friendly state emphasized that Kazakhstan attaches particular importance to strengthening friendship and brotherhood, expanding multi-vector cooperation with Turkmenistan.
Trade, energy, transport and communications were named among the priority areas of bilateral cooperation.
Noting the positive dynamics in mutual trade, the interlocutors noted the presence of great potential for developing ties in the field of trade.
It was also noted that there is mutual understanding between Turkmenistan and Kazakhstan on topical issues of the regional and global agenda, in particular, on such issues as maintaining and strengthening global peace and stability, ensuring sustainable energy and transport, using water resources, protecting the environment and climate change.
Serdar Berdimuhamedov invited Kassym-Jomart Tokayev to Turkmenistan to participate in the Third UN Conference on Landlocked Developing Countries, which will be held in the Avaza National Tourist Zone in August this year.
