On July 3, the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev received the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov, the Foreign Ministry of Turkmenistan reports on its website (https://www.mfa.gov.tm/ru/news/5378)

At the beginning of the conversation, the minister conveyed greetings and best wishes to the President of Azerbaijan on behalf of the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov and the Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of the country Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov.

During the meeting, key aspects of bilateral cooperation between Turkmenistan and Azerbaijan were discussed.

Particular attention was paid to expanding cooperation in the trade and economic, energy and transport and communications spheres. The importance of joint projects that contribute to the development of the two countries was emphasized.

The parties expressed confidence in the further development of fruitful cooperation for the benefit of the peoples of the two countries, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan writes.
