Turkmenistan Embassy in Islamabad Discusses Cooperation with the International Congress of Parliamentarians

A meeting was held at the Embassy of Turkmenistan in Islamabad with a delegation led by the Secretary General of the International Congress of Parliamentarians (IPC), Senator Ms. Sitara Ayaz, during which they discussed ways to develop inter-parliamentary relations between Turkmenistan and the IPC, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan reports (https://www.mfa.gov.tm/ru/articles/1586).
During the meeting, the Turkmen side made a presentation highlighting Turkmenistan's commitment to a peaceful foreign policy and the status of permanent neutrality, the potential of our country in various fields, key economic and infrastructure projects, as well as inter-parliamentary relations of the Mejlis of Turkmenistan with the parliaments of other countries and international parliamentary organizations.
The Pakistani side highly appreciated the peaceful foreign policy of neutral Turkmenistan and the fruitful work of the country's Mejlis.
Possible formats of partnership were also considered, including the organization of joint events, conferences and forums aimed at strengthening inter-parliamentary dialogue, exchanging best legislative practices and coordinating efforts to address pressing modern challenges.
The parties expressed mutual interest in further strengthening ties between the two countries and promoting practical cooperation in the inter-parliamentary arena.
