A program for improving the qualifications of specialists in the oil and gas industry is being successfully implemented in the Mary region. In accordance with the instructions of the President of Turkmenistan and as part of the modernization of the vocational education system, the educational department of the training center of the State Concern “Turkmengas” was opened last year at the Mary oil and gas secondary specialized educational institution.

Since its opening, 630 specialists and workers employed at the enterprises of the State Concern “Turkmengas” and in the geological exploration expeditions of the State Corporation “Turkmengeology” have already been trained here. Course participants master modern drilling technologies, natural gas processing methods and gain practical skills in working with the latest equipment.

The courses are held in classrooms and laboratories equipped with the latest technology using digital systems, interactive whiteboards, projectors and specialized stands. The teachers are experienced specialists with extensive production experience.

As reported by the head of the training department, Baymyrat Yagmurov, a practical lesson on modern welding methods, including argon, was recently held at the largest Galkynysh field. The immediate plans include expanding practical courses at other enterprises in the region.

This experience confirms that professional skills are becoming a key factor in the sustainable development of the oil and gas industry and the economy as a whole. This is reported by ussatnews (https://ussatnews.com/ru/posts/news/10776).
