President of Turkmenistan inspects preparations for UN Conference in Avaza

On July 30, President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov made a working visit to the Balkan region, during which he got acquainted with the work done to hold the Third United Nations Conference on Landlocked Developing Countries at a high organizational level, TDH reports.
During the visit, Vice-Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers, Minister of Foreign Affairs Rashid Meredov reported to the President on the work to improve and create comfortable conditions for participants in the upcoming international forum.
The head of state emphasized the importance of the upcoming conference, noting that its holding in Turkmenistan testifies to the development of constructive cooperation and is a priority of the country's foreign policy within the framework of the strategic partnership with the UN.
The conference is expected to be attended by high-ranking delegations from landlocked developing countries, as well as representatives of other UN member states, international and regional organizations, financial institutions and the private sector. President Serdar Berdimuhamedov instructed to ensure a high level of organization of the event.
Then the President got acquainted with the preparations for cultural events in the National Tourist Zone (NTZ) "Avaza". It was noted that "Avaza" has become a recognized center for holding international meetings, and the upcoming celebrations will strengthen friendly ties between countries through cultural exchange. The head of state also inspected the readiness of modern hotels of Avaza to receive guests, emphasizing the need for a comprehensive approach to hospitality issues.
After completing the working visit, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov left for the capital.
