In modern Turkmen society, a powerful base of renewable energy sources, which is profitable, accessible and relevant for the consumer market, industrial sectors, socio-cultural systems and production culture of the national economy, is rapidly forming.

Turkmenistan has significant natural resources. The conception of green energy implies the creation of new technical and industrial models of society based on inexhaustible natural resources and the use of additional energy from processes continuously occurring in the environment. Green energy, as an engine of a new, healthy and multifaceted cultural development of life, remains a source of revival and serves as an effective diplomatic tool for cooperation among peoples. National and global initiatives of our country in the field of climate change, water strategy, energy policy, environmental culture, experience in the development of the electronic industry and business projects in the digital system are highly appreciated throughout the world.

Renewable energy sources account for 20% of the energy consumed in the world today. Renewable energy sources, which combine environmental friendliness, sustainability, convenience and durability, lead to a 30% reduction in fossil fuel emissions and an increase in economic and innovative development, light and natural beauty by 15-40%. The green economy is the prevention of environmental pollution and environmental threats, a culture of life in balance and harmony with nature, a new indicator of desires, the art of careful attitude to the daily fate of humanity and the protection, preservation and purity of the atmosphere, soil, water and labor.

The adoption in our country of about 40 new legislative acts and regulatory documents on increasing the efficiency of using renewable energy sources, green energy, green technological base and green economy and on forming their reserves has given a great impetus to accelerating developments in this sphere. Turkmenistan’s accession to dozens of international conventions and agreements in the world and the region on the use and development of renewable energy sources, the formation of an energy-efficient and reliable methodological complex, the creation of new technology parks and centers and the successful implementation of large-scale programs and projects in this sphere in our country evokes a sense of pride in each of us.

The operation of pilot centers for green energy in the region of Turkmen Lake Altyn Asyr, the construction of a solar and wind power plant in the Balkan velayat, the erection of new advanced and innovative production and technological bases for the green economy and complex and powerful power plants in the cities of Arkadag, Ashgabat and in Avaza, the launch of solar collector and cadaster projects and wind power plants at research and production pilot centers, the digitalization of industries, the construction of the world’s first plant for the production of environmentally friendly gasoline ECO-93 from gas in Ovadandepe, the installation of new technical means of air purification at all industrial enterprises, the introduction of a unique digital and information and communication engineering system with modern solutions into the urban planning culture, the electronic industry and new types of design traditions and the expansion of forest and horticultural areas are closely related to the development of renewable energy.

This glorious path and historical achievements vividly demonstrate the competitiveness of the economy of Turkmenistan, its modern development in the context of the global energy transition and its highly active role in international cooperation.
