Preparations for the anniversary 30th International Conference and Exhibition "Oil and Gas of Turkmenistan - 2025" (OGT 2025), which will be held from October 22 to 24 in Ashgabat, are in full swing. The forum is organized by the State Concerns "Turkmengas", "Turkmennebit", the State Corporation "Turkmengeology" in partnership with the "Turkmen Energy Forum".
As the organizers note, an important milestone has already been reached: all exhibition areas for OGT Expo are already fully booked, which emphasizes the growing role of Turkmenistan as a strategic center for hydrocarbons and clean energy in Eurasia.
The exhibition, held annually simultaneously with the OGT conference, has become the leading event in the energy sector in Central Asia. It brings together global industry leaders, technology providers and government representatives to share experiences, showcase innovations and build long-term partnerships.
In 2024, the exhibition attracted more than 10,000 visitors from 50 countries, including major energy companies and equipment manufacturers. The 2025 edition is set to surpass previous records by expanding its global reach and opening up greater opportunities for investment, innovation and cooperation.
The three-day OGT conference program will open on October 22 with a representative plenary session devoted to the theme “Shaping the Future of Global Energy in the International Year of Peace and Trust: Innovation, Energy Transition and Strategic Cooperation”.
This session will bring together senior government officials, heads of national and international energy companies, and leading experts. They will discuss the key role of Turkmenistan’s energy sector in ensuring regional stability, promoting sustainable growth and advancing the global energy transition.
The second and third days will feature executive sessions and panels focusing on priority issues such as large-scale infrastructure expansion, the development of the Galkynysh field, innovative project finance, petrochemical development, methane emissions reduction and accelerating sustainable energy initiatives. These discussions will provide key information to investors, technology providers and policymakers shaping the energy future of Turkmenistan and Eurasia. Interest in the conference has already reached an all-time high, with over 100 international delegates, representing government agencies, leading energy companies, investors and industry experts from around the world, having confirmed their participation. This high early registration reflects the international community’s confidence in OGT 2025 as a serious forum for policy discussions and project development, as well as one of the most effective platforms for business networking in the global energy sector.
