International Gas Union (IGU) President Andrea Steger has confirmed his participation as a keynote speaker at this year’s landmark forum, “Oil and Gas Turkmenistan – OGT 2025,” the event’s organisers said.

Steger’s address will add significant weight to the OGT’s high-level dialogue at a critical moment for regional and global energy markets.

The International Gas Union brings together more than 130 members from over 70 countries, covering more than 90% of the world’s gas market, and promotes safe, secure and low-carbon energy solutions.

The first-ever personal presence of an IGU President at OGT underlines the growing international significance of the conference and Turkmenistan’s strategic position at the crossroads of Eurasian energy routes.

Let us recall that the 30th anniversary International Forum "Oil and Gas of Turkmenistan - 2025" (OGT 2025) will be held in Ashgabat from October 22 to 24.

It is organized by the State Concerns "Turkmengas", "Turkmennebit" and the State Corporation "Turkmengeology" with the support of the company "Turkmen energy forum".

To date, more than 300 delegates from 40 countries have confirmed their participation in the conference, including heads of national and international oil and gas companies, technology leaders and financial institutions.

The OGT 2025 program includes a ministerial dialogue on energy security, sessions on gas monetization and infrastructure, reduction of methane and CO2 emissions, digital operations, financing and development of local human resources and innovation ecosystems.
