The national flag of Turkmenistan was raised on the summit of Elbrus, the highest point in Europe. It was unfurled in honor of the approaching 34th anniversary of Turkmenistan's independence by employees of the Morinzhgeologiya service group, who climbed the western and eastern peaks of Elbrus, the electronic newspaper Turkmenistan: Golden Age reported on September 11.

Between the western (5642 m) and eastern peaks (5621 m) there is a saddle (5416 m), with the highest mountain range in the Caucasus. Both peaks are covered with snow all year round, which gives the mountain the appearance of a "gray" Elbrus. These two peaks are a symbol of the mountain.

In Turkmenistan, GSE Morinzhgeologiya operates on the basis of long-term contracts with Petronas Carigali (Turkmenistan) Sdn Bhd (Malaysia) and Dragon Oil (Turkmenistan) Ltd. (UAE). In accordance with the Law of Turkmenistan "On Hydrocarbon Resources" and the Production Sharing Agreement, the holding carries out geophysical and engineering-geological surveys at the offshore fields of the Contractual Territories "Block-1" and "Cheleken".
