President of Turkmenistan has arrived in New York to participate in the 80th session of the UN General Assembly

President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov arrived in the United States on September 21 for a working visit to participate in the 80th session of the UN General Assembly, TDH reports.

Turkmenistan attaches great importance to strategic interaction with the United Nations. The extensive experience accumulated to date allows for elevating these multifaceted relations to a qualitatively new level.

Turkmenistan actively promotes initiatives related to neutrality and peace within the UN framework. The National Leader of the Turkmen people, Hero-Arkadag, and President Serdar Berdimuhamedov have repeatedly put forward positive proposals for strengthening peace and trust from the high rostrum of the UN General Assembly.

Turkmenistan effectively cooperates with United Nations structures to achieve global Sustainable Development Goals. This cooperation covers a wide range of areas – from ensuring peace and security to ecology and the education system. As a neutral state, our country emphasizes the importance of dialogue and trust and contributes to strengthening international cooperation.
