As is well known, 2025 marks two significant dates: the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan's neutrality and the 80th anniversary of the founding of the UN. The coincidence of these two anniversaries demonstrates the historical connection between Turkmenistan and the UN. Over the past 30 years since achieving neutrality, our country has proven that this international status is an effective tool for promoting peace.
Turkmenistan pursues an open and fair foreign policy based on the principles of equality, respect for the sovereignty of other states, and non-interference in their internal affairs. This policy allows our country to maintain constructive relations with various countries, including our regional neighbors.
The adoption of the resolutions "International Day of Neutrality," "International Year of Peace and Trust," and "Zone of Peace, Trust, and Cooperation in Central Asia" is the result of our country's well-thought-out and consistent foreign policy strategy. Turkmenistan not only puts forward initiatives but also demonstrates a willingness to seek their recognition and practical implementation internationally. This consistency strengthens confidence in our country's peacemaking foreign policy.
