On September 22, on the sidelines of the 80th session of the UN General Assembly, Turkmen Foreign Minister Rashid Meredov met with US Deputy Secretary of State Christopher Landau in New York, according to the website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.

During the meeting, the current state and prospects for developing bilateral cooperation between Turkmenistan and the US were discussed. The parties emphasized the development of economic partnership as a key area of ​​bilateral cooperation, particularly emphasizing the importance of cooperation in investment and technology.

The role of the Turkmen-American Business Council, which brings together leading US companies and facilitates the expansion of business contacts, was acknowledged.
