The President of Turkmenistan and the Croatian Foreign Minister discussed prospects for interstate cooperation

On October 7, Turkmen President Serdar Berdimuhamedov received Croatian Minister of Foreign and European Affairs Gordan Grlić-Radman, TDH reports.
Noting that Croatia highly values its friendly relations with Turkmenistan, the guest conveyed greetings from Croatian President Zoran Milanović and Prime Minister Andrej Plenković to the head of Turkmenistan and the National Leader of the Turkmen People.
The head of Turkmenistan expressed confidence that the visit of the Croatian Minister of Foreign and European Affairs will give new impetus to the development of mutually beneficial interstate cooperation.
As noted, Turkmenistan, based on its status of permanent neutrality, maintains peaceful relations with all countries. Particular attention is paid to cooperation with international organizations, in particular the UN and its agencies, as well as to supporting initiatives to promote trust, mutual understanding, and sustainable development between countries.
Emphasizing the productive nature of cooperation with European countries, the President of Turkmenistan noted that cooperation with Croatia is based on the principles of friendship, equality, and mutual benefit.
As Serdar Berdimuhamedov noted, during the current visit of the Croatian Foreign Minister, a regular meeting of the Turkmen-Croatian Intergovernmental Commission on Economic Cooperation will be held, which will discuss the status and prospects for developing cooperation in trade, economics, energy, transport, and other priority areas. A business forum will also be held with the participation of representatives of the business communities of the two countries.
Noting Turkmenistan's interest in consistently developing bilateral partnership in the political, economic, trade, cultural, and humanitarian spheres, the head of state confirmed our country's readiness to consider specific proposals from the Croatian side in these areas.
