Turkmenistan Economy Days held in Frankfurt

Turkmenistan Economy Days were held in Frankfurt am Main, Germany, on October 30–31.
The event was organized to further strengthen trade, economic, and investment cooperation between Turkmenistan and Germany, as well as other interested EU countries, according to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.
The forum brought together representatives of more than 50 leading German companies, banks, and industrial associations, as well as 51 Turkmen companies and a number of government agencies.
The German participants included major industrial concerns and banks, such as Deutsche Bank AG, Commerzbank AG, BOMAG GmbH, CLAAS GmbH, John Deere International GmbH, BASF-Intertrade, and others.
Leading industry associations also participated in the meeting: the Committee on Eastern European Economic Relations, the German Agricultural Alliance, Germany Trade and Investment (GTAI), and the Frankfurt Economic Development Agency.
Turkmenistan was represented at the forum by key ministries and agencies overseeing priority economic sectors: finance and banking, agriculture and food industry, textiles and light industry, healthcare and pharmaceuticals, hydrocarbon and petrochemical industries, construction, transport, and communications.
Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan Nokerguly Atagulyev and Managing Director of the German Committee on Eastern European Economic Relations Michael Harms addressed the opening of the forum. Plenary sessions, B2B and B2G meetings, and the signing of bilateral agreements also took place.
The forum served as a platform for discussing current areas of cooperation in trade and economics, energy, attracting foreign direct investment, and developing transport and logistics corridors. The transition to a green economy, digital transformation, and e-government development were prominent topics in the discussions.
The event program also included study tours to German industrial enterprises.
The Days of Turkmenistan's Economy in Germany became an important platform for strengthening mutually beneficial contacts, attracting investment, and introducing advanced technologies in strategically important sectors of Turkmenistan's economy.
