ADB to Support Turkmenistan's Efforts to Develop Transport Infrastructure

On the sidelines of the "International Transport and Transit Corridors: Connectivity and Development 2025" transport forum held in Ashgabat from November 12 to 14, Artur Andrysiak, Country Director of the Asian Development Bank (ADB) in Turkmenistan, spoke about the development of cooperation with Turkmen public and private entities, according to the online publication "Turkmenistan: Golden Age”.
"ADB is proud of its development partnership with Turkmenistan. We have been working here for 25 years, supporting the country in implementing its development programs. The Bank assists Turkmenistan in strengthening regional connectivity, developing infrastructure, and improving key institutions and human capital. During our cooperation, ADB has provided investments in the transport, energy, and healthcare sectors," Andrysiak said.
The Country Director also noted Turkmenistan's important strategic location at the center of transport corridors and, in this context, announced ADB's support for the implementation of relevant projects.
"I thank the organizers for the opportunity to be a delegate to this important conference. I have been participating in it with great interest for several years. I would like to especially note that Turkmenistan occupies a strategic position at the center of the North-South and East-West transport corridors. The country is actively investing in transport infrastructure, and the Asian Development Bank supports this process and is ready to continue to provide assistance to Turkmenistan," Andrysiak said.
