A number of documents on Turkmen-Japanese cooperation have been signed

During the visit of Turkmen President Serdar Berdimuhamedov to Japan, a number of bilateral documents aimed at developing mutually beneficial cooperation were signed, TDH reports.

The signing ceremony for the bilateral documents took place following a meeting between the President of Turkmenistan and representatives of the Japanese business community on December 19.

Specifically, a Memorandum of Cooperation was signed between the State Concern “Turkmengas” and Sumitomo Corporation Europe Limited. A Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the Ministry of Automobile Transport of Turkmenistan and Sumitomo Corporation.

The Ministry of Communications of Turkmenistan and Mitsubishi Corporation Machinery, Inc. signed a memorandum of cooperation on the effective use of artificial intelligence and digital technologies in Turkmenistan.

A cooperation agreement was signed between the State Bank for Foreign Economic Affairs of Turkmenistan and Mizuho Bank, Ltd. The state-owned concern "Turkmenchemistry" signed three memorandums of understanding:

- with Kawasaki Heavy Industries, LTD., on extending the maintenance period of the natural gas-to-gasoline plant in Ahal;

- with a consortium of Toyo Engineering Corporation (Japan) and Rönesans Endüstri Tesisleri Inşaat Sanayi ve Ticaret A.Ş. (Turkey), on cooperation in establishing operations on the second stage of production at the polymer plant in Kiyanly in the Balkan region of Turkmenistan;

- with the Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, Ltd. group of companies. (Japan), Gap Inşaat Yatirim ve Diş Ticaret Anonim Şirketi (Turkey), and Mitsubishi Corporation (Japan) have agreed to cooperate on a project to build a urea production complex with a capacity of 1,155,000 tons per year in the Balkan region of Turkmenistan.

The State Committee of Turkmenistan for Television, Radio Broadcasting, and Cinematography and Sony Middle East and Africa FZE signed a Memorandum of Understanding.

The Oguz Han University of Engineering and Technology of Turkmenistan signed a Memorandum of Understanding and a Student Exchange Agreement with the School of Engineering at Tohoku University (Japan), and a Memorandum of Understanding with the Graduate School of Science and Technology at Hirosaki University (Japan).
