Turkmen-UAE gas cooperation discussed in Dubai

On February 3, Turkmenistan's Foreign Minister Rashid Meredov met with Sultan Ahmed Al Jaber, Minister of Industry and Advanced Technology of the United Arab Emirates and CEO of the Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC), in Dubai, the Turkmen Foreign Ministry reported.
During the meeting, the constructive nature of cooperation between Turkmenistan and the UAE in the gas sector was noted.
The parties reviewed the progress of ongoing projects and discussed potential areas of cooperation.
At the meeting, an agreement was reached to further develop and strengthen cooperation through regular meetings and consultations between representatives of the two countries to ensure consistent interaction in priority areas, the Foreign Ministry noted.

Maksat Babayev, who until now served as deputy head of this concern, has been appointed as the new Minister of State – Chairman of the State Concern “Turkmengas”.
