Turkmenistan is ready to intensify cooperation with German companies both bilaterally and within the framework of the Central Asia-Germany format. This was stated by Deputy Foreign Minister of Turkmenistan Ahmet Gurbanov at a joint meeting of the foreign ministers of Germany and Central Asian countries with representatives of the German business community, the Turkmen Foreign Ministry reported on its website on February 12.

Promising areas of cooperation include energy, including hydrogen projects and "green transformation," the chemical industry, textiles, agriculture, water management, information technology, and artificial intelligence.

Priority areas include transport and logistics, modernization of railway infrastructure, development of the Turkmenbashi International Seaport, and the participation of German companies in the development of the East-West transit corridors and the Middle Route between Asia and Europe. Particular attention is given to cooperation in the financial and banking sectors.

Ahmet Gurbanov also participated in a meeting between the German Federal Foreign Minister and the heads of foreign affairs agencies of Central Asian countries, as well as a joint meeting with German Federal President Frank-Walter Steinmeier. The importance of further strengthening cooperation within the Central Asian-Germany format was emphasized at the meetings.
